Xiaomi has launched two brand-new waterproof wireless speakers. One of them is called Xiaomi Sound Outdoor, while the other is called Sound Pocket. As you may have guessed, both the two offerings are portable units, which you can easily take with you anywhere you go.
What’s more important is that both the speakers have a capable sound setup, which should offer detailed sound in outdoor conditions. The good part? You also get a great build. So, if you’re looking to purchase a new speaker, you might want to keep these under consideration.

Let’s first get the obvious out of the way. Yes, both of these waterproof wireless speakers have premium build quality. They feature an IP67 rating, which makes them great for challenging outdoor conditions. So, you can take these portable speakers with you anywhere you go.
As for the other specs, the Xiaomi Sound Pocket is, as the name suggests, the most portable one among the two waterproof speakers. But don’t let the size fool you because it’s rated for 5W output. That’s more than enough for outdoor listening in less busy spaces. It also offers a great battery life, with a rated runtime of up to 10 hours with a full charge.

Moving to the Xiaomi Sound Outdoor, it’s a more capable waterproof wireless speaker than the Sound Pocket. It can deliver a total sound output of 30W, which is more than enough to get a room-filling sound. There’s a built-in subwoofer, too. That, combined with the tweeter and passive radiators, you get detailed audio output.
But all that doesn’t really make the Xiaomi Sound Outdoor not travel-friendly. As a matter of fact, it’s reasonably portable. You also get up to 12 hours of rated runtime, Bluetooth 5.4, and a link-up feature that lets you connect up to 100 units together.
That said, Xiaomi hasn’t revealed the prices of these two waterproof wireless speakers. But it’s worth noting that the past offerings have been on the affordable side.
