Huawei Watch 4 Pro Space Exploration Edition has made its debut in China. As past leaks have pointed out, it comes with a different design than the regular edition of the smartwatch. To be specific, it features a two-tone design, featuring a ceramic bezel with the crown sporting a special pattern.
As Huawei says, the special pattern on the crown is inspired by the Laval nozzle that you see in a rocket engine. So, this special edition of the Huawei Watch 4 Pro lives up to its name. But it’s not just the design that has been seen changes from the regular version. There are a couple more upgrades.

One of the key highlights of the special edition Watch 4 Pro is the diamond-like coating. It’s over the aerospace-grade titanium, and it’s there to enhance the scratch resistance of the smartwatch. But better durability without robust health and fitness tracking means nothing for such a wearable. Huawei seems to know that exactly well.

The Huawei Watch 4 Pro Space Exploration Edition comes with an upgraded health report. It has 13 different biometrics, which is three more than the regular version. Among the new additions are sleep apnea detection, hyperglycemia risk assessment, and arrhythmia analysis.
Another upgrade on the special edition Huawei Watch 4 Pro is support for UWB car key. It’s a new addition, which, along with the NFC and Bluetooth car controls, will offer better compatibility. You also get support for eSIM, contactless payments, WeChat, and maps.
Other highlights of the Watch 4 Pro Space Exploration Edition include a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED screen and 4.5 days of battery life. The smartwatch is currently available for preorder in China at CNY 4,999, around $690. Open sales will start on April 12th, and it could soon launch in other markets.
