Oppo Pad Neo Acquire NBTC Certification Approval and Confirms LTE Connectivity

The segment of Android tablets is showing no signs of a slowdown as companies keep pushing new products. The demand for Android tablets witnessed significant growth in 2020 due to the rise of remote work and online learning. With that demand, many brands made their entrance in the segment. Oppo was among the newcomers, and since its debut in the last year, launched a handful of tablets for the various market segments. The company’s first tablet was dubbed by Oppo Pad and launched in February 2022. Soon after, the company launched the Oppo Pad Air and the Oppo Pad 2. Now, the Chinese brand is preparing the road for a newcomer – the Oppo Pad Neo. The device has just acquired approval from Thailand’s NBTC certification. (Source).

Oppo Pad Neo – The brand’s first tablet with cellular connectivity

The Oppo Pad Neo has been certified at Thailand’s NBTC which is an important step before its release. The Oppo Pad Neo is certified with model number OPD2303. Its NBTC listing does not reveal much of its specifications, only confirms it has LTE connectivity. In fact, this is an interesting detail because it means the tablet will be Oppo’s first with cellular connectivity.

Gizchina News of the week

The Oppo Pad Neo might introduce a new lineup for Oppo’s tablet portfolio. We believe it will be positioned below the Oppo Pad 2, which stands as the company’s flagship tablet. It is expected to be positioned higher than the budget-friendly Oppo Pad Air.

While the specifications are currently unknown, we have confidence that it will not disappoint in terms of performance. Since this is the brand’s first tablet with 4G/LTE connectivity, it should bring decent specifications to make the deal more attractive. The Oppo Pad 2 features the excellent MediaTek Dimensity 9000 and has a gorgeous 144 Hz refresh rate. The Oppo Pad Neo could be a toned-down version of the Oppo Pad 2. Or better saying, a new device that sits between the Oppo Pad 1 and the Oppo Pad 2.

More Specifications will emerge soon

Considering the NBTC certification is already upon us, it’s just a matter of time until more specifications appear in the web. One thing is certain, Oppo will keep pushing its presence in the tablet segment in a bid to ear a good slice of the market share.
