Nothing Phone 2a officially announced

There has been a good number of reports on the Nothing Phone 2a. As a matter of fact, Carl Pei, the CEO of Nothing, also teased the phone last month. All of that suggested that the phone was very near the launch time frame. Well, our guess was right, as the company has just officially announced the phone.

Judging by the name, the Nothing Phone 2a will be more affordable than the Nothing Phone 2. While the company hasn’t said anything about the pricing of the phone, it did make some things clear. For example, the phone will be a clear upgrade for those who are still using the Nothing Phone 1.

In addition, Nothing confirmed that the upcoming Phone 2a will double down on the “core user needs.” This will ensure that users get a smooth experience while doing day-to-day tasks. You can learn more from the announcement video attached below.

When Will Nothing Phone 2a Launch?

Nothing has confirmed that the Phone 2a will arrive later this month. While the company didn’t say the exact, it’s quite clear when the device is set to launch. Yes, it’s MWC 2024. For those wondering, it’s the largest and most influential mobile technology event where we see launches of many great devices.

The event is set for February 26, which basically three weeks away from now. So, it’s not like you need to wait long to see the Nothing Phone 2a in all its glory. Speaking of which, although the company didn’t give details on the specs, it did confirm the phone will be better than Nothing Phone 1.

Nothing Phone (2a)

To look back, the Nothing Phone 1 debuted with Snapdragon 778G+. On the other hand, the newer Nothing Phone 2 has a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. As the Phone 2a will be a middle point among these two, we can expect to see it packing a new mid-range chipset. I’m guessing that it will feature Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2.
