Nothing Phone (2) is just a couple of days away from launch. Leading up to the launch, Nothing’s CEO, Carl Pei, has been sharing details about the upcoming device. Also, as we are so close to the official launch event, a lot of prominent reviewers and testers already have the phone. They have also been providing teasers.
Today, Carl Pei has shared a good number of camera samples. Pei has also asked all the testers and reviewers with Nothing Phone (2) to share the camera shots that they might have taken during the testing phase.
Nothing Phone (2) Camera Samples Confirms an Upgrade
Back in May, Carl Pei teased the camera performance of Nothing Phone (2). According to the CEO, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 of the device will allow the device to offer a serious camera upgrade. And from the samples, the case does appear to be true.

Despite being a great device, Nothing Phone (1) had a lackluster camera. Yes, the phone had a 50MP primary and 50MP ultrawide sensor, but the processing was just not capable enough. But as you can see from the camera samples above, the image processing of Nothing Phone (2) saw an upgrade.
The images on the new device have a contrasty look and vibrant colors. Details appear sharp without being oversharpened. Even the selfie shots look much better than the Nothing Phone (1).
However, as reported by 9to5Google, the focus can be somewhat challenging. But you can not forget that Nothing OS 2.0 of Nothing Phone (2) is still in the early stage. So, the focus issue that 9to5Google is reporting can get quickly fixed with software updates. Hopefully, we will get more updates on the camera performance in the upcoming days.
