Carl Pei, the CEO of Nothing, has already shared a lot of details about the Nothing Phone (2). As per past announcements, the device will bring a lot of upgrades, including a flagship-grade chipset. There has been an official announcement regarding the phone’s launch date too.
In case you missed it, Nothing announced that the Phone (2) will debut on July 11. Other than these, we did not get any official info regarding the design of the upcoming device. But there has been a leak revolving around the device.
According to the leaked renders, the device will look pretty similar to the Nothing Phone (1). That is, the renders indicated minor changes to the design. Well, the CEO of the company has responded. And he is calling the renders fake.
So, Nothing Phone (2) Will Not Look Similar to Phone (1)?
If you missed it, the leaked Nothing Phone (2) renders came via Steve ‘OnLeaks’ Hemmerstoffer. OnLeaks is generally regarded as a trusty source for getting an early glimpse of future devices. He basically delivers leaked renders based on factory schematics. And the case for Phone (2) was the same.
That is, the leaked renders of Nothing Phone (2) were based on images of a prototype device. And companies can go through multiple prototypes before finalizing a design. So, OnLeaks got a very early prototype, which does not reflect the final product.

Carl Pei’s Response
Right after the leaked renders surfaced online, Carl Pei posted a tweet, which reads “Fake.” In other words, the CEO of Nothing called the renders fake. Moreover, recently, fans were criticizing the CEO for not changing the design of Nothing Phone (2). To which Carl Pei responded, “Just you wait and see!“
So, the main takeaway is that Phone (2) is less likely to have the same design as Phone (1). And we will know for sure when the phone officially debuts on July 11.
