Apple’s Product Roadmap For The Second Half Of 2023 And First Half Of 2024 Tipped

Apple is set to debut more products later this year. Earlier this month at WWDC, the company unveiled the Vision Pro headset, M2 Mac Pro and Mac Studio, 15-inch M2 MacBook Air, and made a host of other software announcements. Now, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has revealed the Cupertino tech giant’s plans for the second half of this year and the first half of 2024. 

Apple’s product roadmap for the second half of 2023 and early 2024 tipped

Gurman in his latest ‘Power On’ newsletter reveals that Apple is planning to unveil the second iteration of its rugged Apple Watch Ultra that debuted last year. It will tag along with two new Apple Watch Series 9 models. The second generation Apple Watch Ultra is codenamed N210 whereas the Watch Series 9 models have codenames N207 and N208. The wearable devices are expected to debut alongside the iPhone 15 series in September this year. 


Gurman’s newsletters also mentions that new iPad Pro models with OLED screens codenamed J717 and J720 could launch this fall at iPhone 15 event. The Cupertino-based tech giant has traditionally announced iPad Pro models in September. Apple could also announce new Macs with 24-inch screens codenamed J433 and J434 later this year. Gurman adds that he is told Apple is working on a new iMac with a 30-inch display. 

As for MacBooks, devices in the pipeline include M3-powered 13-inch MacBook Pro codenamed J504, 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pros with M3 Pro and M3 Max codenamed J514 and J516 respectively. There are also expected to be new MacBook Air modes codenamed J613 and J615. 

Apple is also working on a new iPad Air codenamed J507 that could replace the current M1-powered Air model that debuted last year. Gurman adds that there are a few other products in development including the third-gen AirPods Pro and Apple TV set-top box. The next generation will reportedly not arrive until 2025.
