Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite gets Android 12-based MIUI 13 in India

The Mi 11 Lite has received the MIUI 13 update based on 12 in India. Along with the Android version bump, the update also carries the February 2022 security patch.

The firmware carries version number V13.0.1.0.SKQINXM and is sized exactly 3GB. In terms of new features, not much is to be expected with the update. Users have already reported that MIUI 13 gives a miss to most of the goodies that the Chinese version of the update comes with. The only new bits appear to be a collection of new wallpapers and some layout improvements to the notification panel.

Regardless, the complete changelog has been given below for your reference:

‌Stable MIUI based on 12
‌Updated Android Security Patch to February 2022. Increased system security.

More features and improvements

‌New: Apps can be opened as floating windows directly from the sidebar
‌Optimization: Enhanced accessibility support for Phone, Clock, and Weather
‌Optimization: Mind map nodes are more convenient and intuitive now

According to Xiaomiui, the update is currently limited to Mi Pilot Testers but if all is found to be well with it, it should soon be rolled out widely, likely within a couple of weeks. But if you can’t wait, then you can download the build manually through this link.

The Mi 11 Lite was launched in March 2021 and booted into 11-based MIUI 12 out of the box. MIUI 13 marks its second MIUI upgrade and first Android version upgrade, and the phone should be eligible for at least another Android upgrade.
