Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Series Now Receiving Stable Oneui 5.0 Based Android 13 Update in Europe

has been busy rolling out stable 13 updates to its smartphones since the past few weeks. So far, the South Korean brand has released the latest Android software version to the Galaxy S22, S21, S20, Note 20 lineup as well as the fourth-generation Galaxy Z foldables, Galaxy A53 5G, A33, and A73. Now, the Galaxy Tab S8 series is the latest in the company’s portfolio to receive the software version. To recall, the tablets debuted earlier in February this year with Android 12 OS out of the box.

The OneUI 5.0-based 13 update is rolled out to only variants of the Galaxy Tab S8 series. The lineup comprises regular, Plus, and Ultra models. It’s worth noting that the update is also rolled out in European countries only for now. The regular Tab S8 has the update firmware version X706BXXU2BVK4 whereas the Plus model has X806BXXU2BVK4. The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is receiving the update with the firmware version X906BXXU2BVK4.

Galaxy Tab S8 series users in Europe can check for the new update by navigating to Settings > Software Update > and tapping Download and Install button. The latest software version brings November 2022 security patch. It also introduces revamped UI design changes and privacy improvements. The software version implements Material You theme, expanded colour palette feature, stacked widgets, bigger app icons in the notifications area, smoother animations and transitions etc. The OneUI 5.0-based 13 also features a new Maintenance Mode feature that will allow users to hide their data from service technicians when the device is under repair.
