Realme Note 50 Detailed Ahead of Its Launch in The Philippines

Realme’s CEO and Founder, Sky Li, recently confirmed the launch of a new Realme Note series of smartphones. The new handset will reach The Philippines on January 23, but ahead of the release, Realme Philippines took out to Twitter to announce all the relevant details. The company’s arm revealed the pricing and the specifications of the smartphone. In addition to the Philippines, the smartphone will also reach Vietnam, Thailand, Italy, Bangladesh, and Myanmar. The Realme Note 50 will be a low-end smartphone with a large screen and large battery for basic usage.

Realme Note 50 Specifications and Key Features

The Realme Note 50 will come with a 6.74-inch IPS LCD screen with a waterdrop-style notch. As usual in the low-end segment, the display’s bezels are quite prominent with a large chin at the bottom. The power button and the volume rockers are on the right side of the smartphone. The left side serves as a home for a SIM card/microSD card tray.

Unisoc T612 at the helm

Under the hood, the Realme Note 50 is equipped with a Unisoc T612 chipset. To those unfamiliar with Unisoc chips, this processor is fabricated on a 12nm process. It is a bit old at this point, but we didn’t expect a low-end smartphone to have the latest nanometer technology. The Unisoc T612 is an Octa-Core chipset with 2 x ARM Cortex-A75 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz and 6 x ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz. The phone also has a Mali G57 MP1 GPU which should be decent for modest gaming tasks. The phone will have at least one variant with 4 GB of LPDDR4X RAM with support for 4GB virtual RAM. It is paired with 64 GB of Internal Storage with a micro SD card slot for up to 2 TB storage expansion.

The Realme Note 50 has a dual rear camera comprising a 13 MP primary lens paired with a monochrome lens. The camera island is rectangular and brings three big black holes. However, out of these three only two have actual cameras. The third one houses the LED flash helper. The phone also brings a dual-tone with different finishes for the top and bottom parts. For selfies and video calls, we have a simple 5 MP shooter
