Poco X5 GT Spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards Ahead of Launch

Poco recently debuted the Poco X5 series devices in the global market. The lineup so far consists of the Poco X5 and the Poco X5 Pro 5G. These are the rebrands of the Renmi Note 12 5G and Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G Speed Edition. Now, Poco X5 GT is also rumored to launch soon, and like its siblings, it will also be a rebranded device.

The Poco X5 GT has appeared on BIS bearing the model number 23049PCD8I. The listing does not reveal any details regarding the specifications, but it does confirm that we will be witnessing the Indian launch of the device soon. The smartphone is said to be a rebrand of the Redmi Note 12 Turbo.


The Redmi Note 12 Turbo is an upcoming device in China. Since the Poco X5 GT will be a rebrand of this smartphone, we can take a look at the leaked specs of the Note 12 Turbo to get an idea of what to expect from the Poco X5 GT.

The Note 12 Turbo is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 chipset. This is an upcoming chipset that will be produced using TSMC’s 4nm process. The device is rumored to have a 6.67-inch OLED screen with FHD+ resolution and the ability to refresh up to 120 times per second. This display may also include a fingerprint sensor and a hole in the center for the front-facing camera.

The phone is said to have a triple camera setup, consisting of a main 50MP sensor, an 8MP auxiliary sensor, and a 2MP lens for macro or depth shots. Additionally, it could be powered by a 5,500mAh battery and support fast 67W wired charging.
