A new version of the Fossil Gen 6 Hybrid watch has been unveiled. The Fossil Gen 6 Hybrid Wellness Edition, as it is called, comes with lots of health features and up to 14 days of battery life. The refreshed version of the Gen 6 Hybrid watch also features a Wellness Gauge dial.
Fossil continues to incorporate more health and fitness features into its smartwatches and a wellness app is already in place. Last October, Fossil introduced Wellness Edition versions for some of its smartwatches running on Wear OS 3. The Wellness app monitors more health data than the base models. They come with lots of functions as well.
The Fossil Gen 6 Hybrid watch Wellness Edition offers an impressive 2 weeks of battery life, unlike the non-hybrid smartwatches. There are a few important changes in the architecture of the new hybrid Fossil Gen 6 smartwatch. Fossil has switched from Wear OS to a proprietary system and its E-ink display adds more power efficiency and battery life.
The new smartwatch comes with SpO2 monitoring and continuous heart rate tracking. It provides an advanced measurement of heart functions during exercise via the Wellness Gauge dial.
The Wellness Edition Gen 6 Fossil Hybrid watch has a 44mm stainless steel case and comes with classic watch hands. The 1.1-inch E-ink display provides more functionality than an OLED screen. The E-ink display has a light that illuminates the smartwatch when in a dark environment. The watch case is water-resistant and is rated 3 ATM. You can get notifications from calls and messages, as well as weather, and Alexa text prompts.
The smartwatch lacks a speaker and cannot receive calls. Three color options for the watch cases are available namely black, silver, and gold. On the other hand, black, blue, and pink wrist straps are available. An additional 20mm silicone strap is also part of the mix. You can get the Fossil gen 6 Hybrid watches Wellness Edition from Fossil starting from January 5. Pricing details will be released at the launch.
