The most striking change from its predecessors evident in these images is the Google Pixel 8a's sleek and rounded edges. This design choice marks a significant aesthetic shift from the square-edged appearance of previous members in the Pixel lineup. It's a refreshing change that not only gives the device a more modern look. But also allows Google to craft a smaller, more compact product.

Google Pixel 8a specs and features

In essence, the Google Pixel 8a will be more compact, thinner, and less wide than its forerunner, the Pixel 7a. Boasting dimensions of 152.1 x 72.6 x 8.9 mm. This reduction in size doesn't come at the expense of screen real estate. As the Pixel 8a will continue to sport a 6.1-inch display, identical to its predecessor. The trimmed-down bezels surrounding the display contribute to this space-efficient design.

Turning our attention to the rear of the device, we find the familiar bar housing the Google Pixel 8a's camera setup. As seen in previous iterations, there will be just two lenses.

What has been publicly available, in addition to these images, is the inclusion of the Tensor G3 processor, 8 GB of RAM, and an out-of-the-box 14 experience. Also worth noting is the codename assigned by Google to this project: Akita.

As the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro have officially made their way to markets, we can reasonably anticipate that the Pixel 8a will follow suit. However, eager fans will have to exercise patience, as it's unlikely to hit the market before mid-next year.
